Our Story

I (Cristina) developed an interest in jewelry making while working at a jewelry store on New York City’s Lower East Side in the early 2000s. This led me to become a student at Studio Jewelers Ltd. After graduating in 2005, I started making jewelry of my own design. Reiner was at the time a visual artist who has exhibited his abstract paintings in New York, Europe, and Japan. We met in a Soho bar and moved in together after a couple of months. Reiner took great interest in jewelry making while watching me work. One day I came home to find on my jewelry bench a beautiful skull pendant carved out of wax. His talent was evident. The love we had for each other and jewelry making led us to create our baby Reinerland in 2006. We have been selling our jewelry at artisan marketplaces and stores ever since.
